Atlantic AE PM Summit 2025: Growing Stronger Together

From Wednesday, October 8 to Friday, October 10, the Atlantic AE Project Management team gathered in Alexandria, VA for our annual PM Summit. At Atlantic AE, we are deeply committed to Continuous Improvement and always looking for ways to grow stronger together, and this summit was a true reflection of that commitment. The trip was a great opportunity for the team to come together and experience the kind of in-person collaboration that is so valuable to our growth and connection as a fully remote team.

AAE Agenda Overview

This year’s summit featured a full agenda focused on welcoming new team members, sharing knowledge, and building upon what makes the Atlantic AE PM team so strong. Over two packed days, we combined training, strategy, and meaningful collaboration with a few signature AAE activities to keep things fun and engaging.

Wednesday, October 8

The team arrived in the morning and kicked things off with an afternoon focused on team meetings. Each division focused on key goals for the year, shared insights, and aligned initiatives to continue delivering exceptional value to our clients. We capped off the day with a Haunted Alexandria Pub Tour, a fun way to appreciate the city’s unique architecture while kicking off the Fall season. After visiting some haunted sites (and enjoying a few spooky cocktails), we wrapped up the evening with a team dinner at Virtue Feed & Grain, right on the Potomac River.

Thursday, October 9

We started day two with a full-team training and discussion about our plans for the PM team in 2026 and beyond. Our very own Paul Gierlach led an engaging session, Electrical for Architects, where he explored common electrical challenges we encounter during projects and how the PM team can best support the Architecture team in resolving them. In addition, we had presentations from other critical Atlantic representatives from our HR, Accounting, and Leadership teams.

Afterwards, we continued with in-depth training and collaborative discussion before splitting into our respective divisions to meet with our clients, and tour some of our projects under construction around the DC area. Our Atlantic teams are dedicated to creating consistent opportunities for in-person, face to face interactions with our clients; helping us continue to strengthen and grow the partnerships we’ve built.

That evening, some of the team headed back to the Alexandria waterfront for pizza, while others joined clients at District Winery in DC for a curated wine tasting experience.

Friday, October 10

The final day of the summit wrapped up with the team grabbing breakfast and heading back home!

A Big Thank You to Our Team

This summit wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of everyone involved. A huge THANK YOU to our planners, organizers, trainers, and everyone who participated. We’re grateful for a team that shows up for each other and for our clients with passion and purpose.

We love this company and the incredible people who make it what it is. From deepening our professional skills to building stronger relationships, this summit was invaluable.

Let’s continue building on the momentum of this summit and keep striving for excellence together.

Onward, Atlantic AE!
